As it was in the Days of Noah

- Only Noah and his family were saved and all the people were killed with “water".

- Why did Christ compare His day, saying, “As it was in the days of Noah?”

- How relevant is Noah’s story in our time?

Subject: Re: fasting
The spirit in me tells the same and I am filled with joy with your revelation. Once again Brethren: 1 Corinthians 1:10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. A supplement to your post Sister/Brother?? Vera: Brethren, Fasting has been revealed to everyone as written in: Isaah 58:6 "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "loose the bands of wickedness" Where does wickedness emanates according to Lord Jesus? Is not this written in: Psalms 5:9 "For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre, they flatter with their tongue." Luke 11:31 "And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness." Jeremiah 31:33 "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people." Hebrew 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:" The preceding verses identified that it is the mind where wickedness emanates. It is this mind that our Lord Jesus will renew in inward man. Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." 2 Corinthians 4:16 "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day." "undo the heavy burdens" Matthew 23:4 "For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. Psalms 38:4 "For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. What are iniquities serving as heavy burden in spiritual matters? Is it not the one mentioned in: Exodus 28:38 "And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, ......................" And what maybe the holy things in the verse above? Is it not this in: Romans 7:12 "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good." What about the iniquity of the holy things that serve as heavy burden? Is it not the written in: The iniquity of the holy things (law and commandment): Romans 7:10 "And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death." Romans 7:11 "For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me." Romans 8:3 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:" When the spirit of the Lord is not with somebody/someone the literal-physical interpretation of the word of God is in control that leads to death in spirituality, but if the spirit of the Lord is the one within, the revelation in the word of God shall be given- it is etenal life in the sprituality. Romans 8:4 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Ephesians 5:17 "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." Ephesians 5:18 "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law." Romans 8:5 "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:6 "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." Blotting out the iniquity of the holy things in: Romans 8:3 "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:" Colossians 2:14 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; " Iniquity that can't give perfection unless nailed to the cross by non-other : Romans 10:4 “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth” Galatians 3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: " The essence of Christ dying on the cross is to give the holy one (God the Father),the inheritance in His Spirit form, to bring back the lost Holy Spirit during the fall of man to everyone who wills and humble. Deut 21:23"His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; for he that is hanged (the literal word/law-Colossians 2:14) is accursed of God: that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. " John 7:29 "(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified" John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." "let the oppressed go free" In spiritual life the protagonist against God is non-other than the devil. Oppressed by him are the one should be freed for their mind is being dominated by the devil because he is as written in: Deuteronomy 28:29 "And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. John 8:44 " Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.. " And Lord Jesus is the one who let go free the oppressed by the devil: Psalms 146:7 "Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: Psalms 146:8 "The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous: "ye break every yoke" "Yoke" is a kind of harness that binds one belief, a belief not in line or against to the truth that God is offering to everyone who wills to obey. Phil. 4:3 "And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel.whose names are in the book of life." 2 Cor. 6:14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? ." Galatians 5:1 "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." And all of these - to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke can only be accomplished or possible thru the spiritual word of God (God Himself - the written word + holy spirit). Isaiah 58:6 is what is being called the first stage of fasting (By God) And when the spirit of the Lord is now abiding in babes of Chist, there comes the second which is the one mentioned in: Isaiah 58:7 "Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?" (By the Church/babes in Christ) The fasting of the Husband and Wife, the Church and the Head of the Church.

Very clearly the word of God is both a “call for the outsiders” to hear and come to our Lord and embrace the truth. It is at the same time a “conviction to the chosen” for them to see judgment on themselves by the Truth in the Word as God reveals it In effect FASTING is both for evangelism for the "called" and spiritual perfection for the "chosen."
