Christ and Satan in Contrast

- Who would say, "I hate Jesus Christ and love Satan." Or, "I hate truth and love falsehood?"

- Perhaps nobody in his right mind would say that. However, Christ saw it in His time.

- The truth is, people do not know what they are saying.

Subject: Gen. 22:1-12
An adder to what was revealed to our Brethren that “Isaac” symbolizes that attribute of the SOUL that is pleasing to God generating sweet savour for Him. Being obedient and faithful to God in deed, even that good attribute of the soul that generates sweet savour to God was willingly offered for sacrifice by Abraham. With that gesture of Abraham, He was found by God as righteous in: Galatians 3:6 "Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness" James 2:21 "Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?" James 2:22 "Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? " Seeing and counting him as righteous, God considered his obedience because as it is written in:" 1 Samuel 15:22 "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. " The said instance, as if to say that attribute/faith to God by His chosen is inutile if it does not wrought the work that should go with it as in: James 2:17 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." The work being mentioned is like the one mentioned in: Isaiah 58:6 "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Isaiah 58:7 "Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Therefore, heeding and abiding to God's command that equates to believing His words spiritually, not necessarily need a physical or literal assertion such as "offering Isaac for sacrifice", instead to offer the "fruits of that attribute of the soul" and wait for spiritual revelation by God particularly this age/period via the good attribute(Isaac). For God said the greatest commandment is: Matthew 22:36 "Master, which is the great commandment in the law?" Matthew 22:37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." And that is the subject "soul" here. That very soul generated by the love of God. Also, we have learned that love of God is: John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." 1 John 2:5 "But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him." John 15:10 "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."

It appears that there are good attributes of the soul when in comes to spiritual matters. Can We consider " Ro:1:11: For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;" as one of the good attributes that generates good savour to God? If not can the Brethren share some of this good attributes of the soul.

Yes my Brother and they are the one mentioned in: Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. I think the topic hereunder is somewhat related to your question and I would suggest that you read it: http://www.purechristianity.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=769&sid=2c8572a09253bb4a913570095aa8b383

I’m not looking here at the fruits of the Holy Spirit, but rather on Paul’s desire to share the word of God, an emotion (attribute of the soul) which is very high when God first introduce himself to me. But as I claim to be a mature Christian I realized that I am also killing this emotion which is pleasant to God. That why God is telling me in.. Re:2:4: Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

On spiritual matters, for us here on this website it equates because there can not be a good attribute of the soul in spiritual life unless the Holy Spirit is with individual. That desire of Paul to share the word of God was the result of having the Holy Spirit abiding in him: 1 Corinthians 2:4 "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:" Ephesians 2:22 "In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." And this will be attested in: Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Those good attributes of the soul are the manifestation of the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the more you are atone to the Holy Spirit, the more your love for God grows. In the absence of the Holy Spirit, there can not be good attribute of the soul in spirituality. But if it is about morality and social life, definitely there are i.e. generous, kindhearted and etc., but if speaking of attributes that generate sweet savor to God that for sure is about spiritual life. Romans 7:5 “For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.” Romans 8:13 “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” This does not mean that God does not regard physical Life for He has entrusted to some goverment entities matter of orderliness and given this commandment: Matthew 22:21 "... Render therefore unto Caesar the thingswhich are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's." Roman 13:7 "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." Concerning to: Revelation 2:4: Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love." "Love" pertaining to spiritual life these are the one being offered by the scriptures: Romans 13:8 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law Romans 13:10 "Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: "therefore love is the fulfilling of the law". John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." 1 John 2:5 "But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him." John 15:10 "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
