Subject: The "chosen" (sheep) and the "called" (g
Inviting comments on the following distinguishing the “chosen” (sheep) from the “called” (goats). Mat 22:14 For many are CALLED, but few are CHOSEN. Are the following considered divine revelation? Our Lord classified the people in His time into: • The “CALLED” - epitomized the Jews under the leadership of the Scribes and Pharisees. • The “CHOSEN” - composed of Jews after becoming Jesus’ (real) Disciples typified by the 120 in the upper room at Pentecost (Act 1:15). Today, this truth has not passed away. God classifies the people to whom His word is entrusted, to Christianity through the Holy Bible, into: • The “CALLED” typified by “mother harlot, her daughters, and hundreds of million people that composed them.” • The “CHOSEN” composed the BRIDE of Christ Christ gave two tests for His chosen: First – The identity test 1 Joh 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 Joh 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: EVERY SPIRIT THAT CONFESSETH THAT JESUS CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH IS OF GOD: 1 Joh 4:3 And every spirit that CONFESSETH NOT that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. • Who is Jesus before coming in the flesh? • Who is Jesus after coming in the flesh (resurrection)? Second – Recognition through His “voice” test Joh 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: FOR THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS. • How does Christ, the Shepherd, speak? • How do “strangers” speak? Comments will be highly appreciated.
