Lord of the Sabbath

- What really is the significance of Sabbath that God gave it as an “eternal sign” for His chosen people?

- God imposes death penalty for its violation, like the man caught gathering sticks on the Sabbath. How is the penal provision executed?

- What did Jesus mean in saying, “I am the Lord of the Sabbath?”

Hi all, I am Jenn who happened to stumble on this website. I read some articles. I was born a Roman Catholic. However when I was 7 years old, my mother brought me to a Bible study. From then I developed interest in the Sacred Scriptures. So when I was surfing the Internet, I happened to stumble on this website. In the beginning what I read in the Bible and heard from preachers were contradictory to what I read in some of the articles in this website. However, I cannot resist God's explanation especially on women forbidden to speak in the churches. I heard over the radio and seen on TV how preachers take this literally. After reading the article about two witness to the truth, I realized God is speaking in parables, that what He means by "women" is actually the people, both female and male.

Brethren, we're so happy to listen with your testimony. I think you have passed the 1st test. Despite the fact that many people who read the bible and spent so many years in studying it. In the end they are resisting this truth. You are so lucky as God says "MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOOSEN". Now you can see the difference between man standard and God standard. This is a revelation from God. Let's feel the joy from God. ugot_jenn29 <bibletalk@purechristianity.org> wrote:
Hi all, I am Jenn who happened to stumble on this website. Hello Jenn, To realize that God is speaking in parables as written in: Ezekiel 20:49 "Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?" Psalms 78:2 "I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter ark saying of old:" You must be poor in "spirit of man" for it is also written that: Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Being poor in spirit of man it is not difficult to convert as in: Matt. 18:3 " Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven " For the kingom of God is: Rom. 14:17 "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." And the Holy Ghost/Spirit is the one teaching as you can read in: John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." Weak in the spirit of man but having the attribute of the babes in Christ to understand parable/language of God as in: Mark 4:34 "But without a parable spake he not unto them:and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples." A reason to thank God for the mystery has been known to you as stated in: 1 Corinthians 14:2 "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries
