With the help of God I can comprehend the great message which is very far from what I used to hear from preachers. Thank you. Now I read the following, and perhaps everybody knows Jesus Christ is referred to as having been born of Mary, the wife of Joseph. May I know God's revelation aside from this? Gal 4:4  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Thru this revelation from God really enlighten my spiritual life. One time, the pastor who was assigned to teach that day, taught us to take a little wine when our stomach is aching (that is how he understood 1 Tim. 5:23). What happened next? He was suspended (because we are strictly not allowed to take wine of any kind in that congreggation). That event drove me nowhere to go and whom to believe. And considering that even in the Bible I could not find the answer as to "which is which" I was then haunted by mixed emotions . Does God forbids His people to take wine? To take the word of God literally, the answer would be "Yes and No:" Leviticus 10:9 " Do not take wine nor strong drink...." 1Timothy 5:23 "Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities." Our pastor then understood "for thy stomach's sake" as "when our stomach is aching". It was human wisdom that he used in understanding God's word not ever thinking that the word "aching" was not there. I waited for the explanations of the"Drink no longer water" but he did not touch the subject. Did I care to approach him after the service as I usually do ? No more. Because as the whole thing brought me so much confusion, I felt I could never be convince by him or by anyone else no matter how much they tried. What was left of me then? Nothing ,.... but to hope that one day it would be God Himself that will explain me whatever is there that I wanted to know. Did the time comes that it happen? No.Why? Because I was not in the Truth. It was only after that the Lord sought and found me that everything about 1 Tim. 5:23 became clear to me. Talking about "stomach", it is where our food goes. When we take unhealty foods, normally our stomach suffers from disturbances. Now, since in the spiritual side it is the word of God that we say we eat, we ought to eat the right kind of food- which is the Truth. Who can feed us the Truth but God( the Truth) alone through His word (the Word was God). Water symbolizes the word of God. If we are to take water alone(or study the word by ourselves) without the help of the Holy Spirit that giveth life to His word, automatically our stomach will suffer. So, what are we to do? Drink not water alone but instead take a little wine and this is " Word + Holy Spirit ". Who can follow this in the real sense? Those that are "MADE OF A WOMAN" who else! Dear brethren,   We are all blessed in the Spiritual Truth of GOD's WORDS and for the meantime, our group read only thru an internet cafe nearby. Connection of amang's computer thru a telephone line is still underway and seems the process would take a long time.   We are all now here in jolo city feeling a lot safer now than before. This is tony in behalf of porong, amang, mama, zaheed , and amana writing on line in our purechristianity website.      aidatcortez <bibletalk@purechristianity.org> wrote:
In the last sect that I joined in, it is almost always that when a certain verse- taught by our pastors is still unclear to me, I usually approach and ask them to further explain it to me. Brothers Tony, Porong, Amang, Zaheed, Sis. Amana and Mama, Isaiah 43:10 "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. " To the unbelievers, this verse simply mean, "There is only one God". To the real Christians, it needs understanding of the whole book for one to explain it. Example: If we are to Follow God's teaching in Isaiah 28:10, in the line, "Ye are my witnesses , saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen", we need some other lines and get a little here and there to get the exact message. John 15:16 "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. " Here, we can see that the purpose of God for the "chosen" is for them to go and bring forth fruit (fruit of the Holy Spirit). It is God -our husband- that plants His seed (the word of God) to His chosen of which the children is/ are, the "Fruit of The Holy Spirit. That fruit/fruits SHOULD REMAIN- for us to always be given Wisdom ( it is the fulfillment of " I am with you alway). If we do not know, believe and understand that God is He, how can we explain "before me there was no God formed , neither shall there be after me?" Chances are, we will be standing in the pulpit teaching not knowing that we already are, a "false Christ". It is not enough that we know that "God is one" because we will be like the devils in stand (James 2:19) but rather, there got to be "believing and understanding". Romans 10:14 " How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach , except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace..." How can those who know that God is the Father whose name is Jesus Christ believe, without hearing,? and hear without understanding?... And how can they understand when they can not humble themselves before the Shepherd who, by Himself (this is why He is the Saviour), seeks for the "lost sheeps:" Ezekiel 34:11 "For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. " Ezekiel 34:12 "As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day." Ezekiel 34:13 "And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country." God is the same yesterday, and to day and forever. If yesterday His Way of saving people who, according to His foreknowledge will humble themselves before Him, is to seek them and feed them using His witnesses or the the Israel's, it is still the same today. As "in the beginning was the Word" , everything that is written was there before the foundation of the world. We can not bargain to God. It's either we take it, or we leave it. PERIOD. Isaiah 45:23 "I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear( teach the TRUTH) ."
