'Those in Judea, Flee to the Mountains!'

- Is not Judea the birthplace of our Lord? Does it not symbolize a blessed place?

- Why does our Lord direct His people to leave Judea?

- What symbolizes the "mountains?" What is the spiritual mountain?

Subject: Woman of Canaan
Brethren, I have been reading the following regarding the faith of a Canaanite woman. How could our Lord seem to refuse the woman's request when He should have been happy instead? What difference is there in the use of "dogs" here with "dogs" in Matthew 7:6? Mat 15:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Mat 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

======================================================================== Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. ======================================================================== Canaanites are descendants of Canaan from the lineage of Noah as read in the following verses: Genesis 9:18 "And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan." Genesis 10:6 "And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan." Genesis 10:15 "And Canaan begat Sidon his first born, and Heth," Genesis 10:16 "And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite," Genesis 10:17 "And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite," Genesis 10:18 "And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad." Although, Canaanites came from the bloodline of Noah, a wickedness was done by his father Ham as read in: Genesis 9:22 "And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without." What is the nakedness of his father that Ham had seen according to the word of God? Leviticus 20:11 "And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. " The Brethren are aware that God is speaking in parables and His words are spirit as stated: Psalms 78:2 "I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: John 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." And by following His direction/instruction in teaching knowledge to His chosen: Isaiah 28:9 "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts." Isaiah 28:10 "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:" Verses referring to father was found: Matthew 23:9 "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven" 1 Corinthians 8:6 "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." Father Jesus Christ's wife is as read in: Ephesians 5:23 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body." Therefore, seeds coming from other than Christ(Father/Husband of Church) is of the Devil 1 King 9:20 "And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel," People mentioned above were descendants of Canaan [(Genesis 10:15-18 see previous verses above)] It is known to Brethren that spiritual Israel is: Hebrews 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people." They are the chosen people of God (the household of God) Two reasons our Lord refused to attend the plea of the woman: 1) Being a canaanites, generally they worship other gods(Baal, Dagon and etc) ! Kings 18: 22-27 (Baal), 1 Samuel 5:1-7 (Dagon) receiving seeds other than the one true God. 2) She cried after them as mentioned in: Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. " Hereunder verse is related to the above: Job 30:5 "They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)" So the woman being canaanites who worshipped different gods, in a sense as if accusing Lord Jesus as a thief because she cried after them. For to Him thief is as in: John 10:1 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber" John 10:7 "Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep." John 10:9 "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." Thus, the Lord Jesus does not want to attend her plea for help at first, but when the Lord said: Mat 15:24 "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel." She came to Him saying and repeated her plea for help: Mat 15:25 "Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me." Lord Jesus replied: Mat 15:26 "But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs." The woman reasoned: Mat 15:27 "And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table" Hereunder verses pertaining and relating to the foregoing verse are: Luke 16:20 "And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores," Luke 16:21 "And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores." Beggar/Poor: 1 Samuel 2:8 "He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them." Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" From that response of the woman Lord have seen her as poor in spirit desiring to be freed from the dominion of the devil. Though canaanites still belonging to Noah's bloodline. Herself: Mat 15:22 "And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil." Deuteronomy 13:6 "If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;" The Lord saw her faith and said: Mat 15:28 "Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour." ===================================================================== Mat 15:27 "And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table" The dogs referred here are non-other than the mentioned in: Judges 7:5 "So he brought down the people unto the water (word of God-Ephesians 5:26) and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink." Judges 7:6 "And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water." Judges 7:7 "And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place." These are also the same dogs in: Luke 16:21 "And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores." 1 Kings 22:38 "And one washed the chariot in the pool of Samaria; and the dogs licked up his blood; and they washed his armor; according unto the word of the LORD which he spake." These are the children of God/chosen While the dogs in: Matthew 7:6 "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Is the assembly of wicked according to God: Psalms 22:16 "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet." Proverbs 26:11 "As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. Isaiah 56:10 "His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber". Isaiah 56:11 " Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter." These are the people with the mind of natural man that trust his intellect/emotion regarding spirituality/worshipping God and going against His will.

Great, great posts! Who can explain the word of God as clear as could be, but by Him alone through His words? Who can refute the TRUTH in the Word?
