What I cannot understand is the following: Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen 5:2 [size=18]Male and female [/size]created he them; and [size=18]blessed them, and called their name Adam[/size], in the day when they were created. [size=12][/size][size=12][/size] I welcome God's revelations to you regarding this.[/color]

THE IMAGE OF "MAN" BEFORE AND AFTER THE FALL: God said: Gen 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." This "image of God" must be referring to "God was manifest in the flesh" (1 Tim. 3:16 KJV), and there is "only one God the Father" (1 Cor. 8:6a). Clearly this is the image of Jesus Christ as a MAN (1 Tim. 2:5, Phil. 2:6-8). Humankind is one reference to man and therefore EVE is a "man" in this sense. Adam represents JESUS CHRIST from the fact that He "committed the sin" out of his "love for Eve." Eve represents mankind, not Adam, since she was the one who succumbed to the temptation of the serpent (Satan). 1Ti 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." It was Adam who "suffered the consequences of the transgression (Gen. 3:17-19), as JESUS CHRIST "take on" the sins of mankind. Only the CHOSEN though benefit from the sacrifice because the rest refuse the gift of salvation. This is the "image" of Jesus Christ, as man: Isa 42:1 "Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my SOUL delighteth; I have put my SPIRIT upon him." This was repeated in: Mat 12:18 "Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him." Hence, Jesus Christ has BODY, SOUL, and the SPIRIT of the Father. This must be the "image" of Eve before the fall, and mankind that she represents. After the fall, since the Tree of Life represents the Holy Spirit which was separated from Eve (Gen. 3:24), thereafter mankind consists only of BODY and SOUL, and turning a person to a NATURAL MAN (1 Cor. 2:14). BODY (senses and instinct) and SOUL (intellect and feeling) without the SPIRIT of God (spiritual discernment through the word) "cannot understand spiritual things, they are foolishness for they can only be SPIRITUALLY discerned." Salvation is the restoration of the SPIRIT of God in the Natural Man converting a person into a SPIRITUAL MAN (1 Cor. 2:15-16). Jesus Christ is the "only begotten Son of God" called as such being the God in the flesh to show the WAY (John 14:6). Those humbling themselves like "little children" (Matt. 18:3) are given the "right to become sons of God" (John 1:12). Jesus Christ, called the "eldest Son of God," is their model (Rom. 8:29) following His example (1 Pet. 2:21). THE DUAL ROLE OF JESUS CHRIST Gen 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." In Col. 2:9 and Isa. 9:6, JESUS CHRIST is the God that the ELECT will be meeting in heaven and to be with in eternity. There is only one throne and one sits on the throne (Rev. 4:2). [This is the classification of mankind: people NOT BELIEVING in the Bible, those believing in the Bible known as CALLED, those who found the truth or CHOSEN, and the ELECT or over comers (Rev. 3:5)] In Isa. 54:5, God is the HUSBAND as JESUS CHRIST is, in Rev. 18:23 and Eph. 5:22-5. Jesus Christ therefore undertakes a "spiritual MALE gender." However, God in His manifestation in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16 KJV), JESUS CHRIST, as role model to the CHOSEN, assumes a "spiritual FEMALE gender" as the CHOSEN are before God. It is in this state that Jesus is greatly misunderstood when He said: Joh 20:17 "Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." Luk 23:34 "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Plus many more verses) This is the "mystery" that the CALLED ones see in the identification of God and Jesus Christ. That is why it needed a divine revelation for Simon Peter to recognize JESUS (Matt. 16:15-17)! For saying, "Thou art the CHRIST," Simon Peter saw Jesus as the FATHER who is the sole and only SAVIOR, and therefore taking the stance of "spiritual MALE gender." Isa 43:11 (Father God speaking) "I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour." Simon Peter for saying, "Thou art the Son of the living God," saw JESUS as the role model for the CHOSEN, therefore in the "spiritual FEMALE gender" as they are. This is where I see the message of: Deu 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. " In the article: Women Forbidden to Wear Man's Clothe http://www.purechristianity.org/women_forbidden_to_wear_mans_clothe.htm Where the CHOSEN'S life is clearly distinguished into: THE SPIRITUAL IMAGE OF THE CHOSEN The Natural Man (1 Cor. 2:14) cannot be a "candidate" to eternal life unless be converted into a "little child" (Matt. 18:3). He/she does not have the SPIRIT of God! The following therefore is referring to the image of the Spiritual Man (1 Cor. 2:15-16), and his/her "spirit and soul and body is expected to be preserved blameless" till physical death. 1 Thes. 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless." To be noted, the verse was directed to the Christians of Thessalonica. 1. SPIRITUAL LIFE consisting of the SPIRIT of God (divine wisdom, spiritual discernment, spiritual strength) and SOUL (intellect and feeling) 2. PHYSICAL LIFE consisting of the SOUL (intellect and feeling) and BODY (the senses) It is in the SPIRITUAL LIFE of the real believer that he/she takes the stance of a "spiritual female," being the SPIRITUAL WIFE (bride), who must be totally submissive to the "will of the husband" that is GOD. Jesus Christ showing the Way (John 14:6), as model (Rom. 8:29), demonstrated this: Joh 5:19 "Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do." ["The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man. (Deut. 22:5)] For PHYSICAL LIFE however, the real believer should take the stance of a "spiritual male," where he/she is expected to take the responsibility of taking care of it. Did not Jesus say: Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; THE FLESH PROFITETH NOTHING: THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU, THEY ARE SPIRIT, and they are life. [".neither shall a man put on a woman's garment for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God." Deut. 22:5] If in SPIRITUAL LIFE the real believer has to "act like a babe" before God, in PHYSICAL LIFE he/she has to "act like an adult" fully cognizant and responsive of the faculties endowed by God: intellect, feeling, and physical strength. The foregoing is also the "image of Jesus Christ, as MAN/HUSBAND the FATHER in Him; and WOMAN/WIFE the "only begotten Son of God." This is what Simon Peter saw in JESUS in "Thou art the CHRIST (Father only savior in Isa. 43:11); the Son of the living God (only begotten Son) showing the example/Way to the chosen. THE SPIRITUAL RAINBOW Just as the rainbow has several colors and wonderful to look at, so is the word of God. The rainbow is formed by the rays of the SUN where it symbolizes God (Psa. 84:11 "For the Lord is the sun.."). Water vapors finally drop as rain. So is the word of God: Deu 32:2 "My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew." The different colors are the different great messages in the word. The rainbow is the truth. Thus, I could see Shannon's God revelation to him which is really wonderful to see forming part of the color of the spiritual "rainbow." The SPIRIT of God is the "male" and the SOUL is the "female" in the real believer, as it was demonstrated in Jesus Christ, is indeed a great revelation." =============================================== [b]Bro. "The first Adam personifies the last with his "love for his wife" when he ate the forbidden fruits knowing the consequences that Eve would suffer. With this therefore, he assumed the punishment (Gen. 3:17-19), which is the equivalent of Christ's sufferings for our sins/transgression, although Adam was not deceived: 1 Tim 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." The first Adam's "deep sleep" (Gen. 2:21) is equivalent to Jesus' death for three days. As Eve was formed out of the "side" of Adam; so is the church, the chosen, the wife, is fashioned after Christ's image with the "flow of blood and water" from His side: John 19:34 "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water." "Water and blood" symbolizes "new birth" in: John 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." "Water" symbolizes the letter of the word of God (Eph. 5:26) that constitutes the 1st witness to the truth; and "Spirit" that stands for the Holy Spirit, is the 2nd witness. Truth, which is the "life" for real believers, is made available with the "shedding of blood" of Jesus Christ on the cross.
