Mary Magdalene Personifies the Ideal Believer

- Who would think that Mary Magdalene typifies the ideal believer?

- Have you read, that from her acts and the privilege accorded to her by our Lord, Magdalene occupies the premier position among the apostles and disciples?

Subject: Regarding our responsibility
I am reading the following verses and have difficulty reconciling them: Here, our Lord requires us to depend on Him completely: Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING. But here, our Lord Himself seems to convey our responsibility for salvation: Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Paul also received this revelation: Phi 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. I look forward to Godís clarification on the matter.
